What is REACH?
REACH is a series of European Union regulations for enforcing the Registration, Evaluation,Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It came into force in 2007.
The REACH regulations bring together a number of earlier directives and place them in a single system designed to:
Protect human health and the environment from the use of chemicals.
Make those who manufacture or import chemicals responsible for their actions and associated risks.
Improve competitiveness and free movement of chemicals within the EU.
