NovaSol 7000NC solvent adhesive – ideal for:

• Signage: Formulated for cast acrylic (eg Perspex) interior or exterior signs. Can be used as a laminating adhesive.
• Shopfitting: The clear formulation produces a clean, strong bond for store fixtures and displays.
• Other: Effective in mechanical engineering, model building and aquarium manufacture.

Not for structural applications.

Why NovaSol 7000NC plastic welding glue?

NovSol 7000 NC delivers exceptional acrylic to acrylic bonding, with the capability to withstand the elements. The clear, two component solvent adhesive hardens at room temperature and is simple to apply.

How to apply NovaSol 7000NC acrylic glue

Preparation:

1. Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and oils. For a residue-free surface, use NovaBond Surface Cleaner.
2. Consult the SignFix material safety data sheet (MSDS) before using for the first time.

Application (two part A & B)

1. Parts A & B should be at, and be used at, room temperature (16°C – 20°C).
2. Thoroughly mix an approximate 20:1 ratio of Part A: Part B and allow to stand briefly, allowing any larger air bubbles to escape.
3. Apply the plastic welding glue, ensuring your work is completed within 20 minutes of mixing Parts A & B. Any greater delay will weaken the bond effectiveness.
4. Remove any excess adhesive at this point, before the structural glue starts to cure.
5. Use a suitable cleaner such as NovaBond Surface Cleaner.
6. The adhesive will set in 1.5-2 hours and withstand light handling.
7. Hardening will continue over the following days. You can increase joint strength further by heating at 80°C for 3-4 hours.

Application (two part cartridge)

1. Remove cap. Repeatedly press the gun trigger until both parts are dispensing before attaching mixer nozzle. This ensures you mix equal amounts of adhesive and activator.
2. Apply the mixed adhesive to one surface.
3. Remove any excess adhesive at this point, before the structural glue starts to cure.
4. Use a suitable cleaner such as NovaBond Surface Cleaner.
5. The adhesive will set in 1.5-2 hours and withstand light handling.
6. Hardening will continue over the following days. You can increase joint strength further by heating at 80°C for 3-4 hours.
7. Full cure and ultimate bond strength will take 24 hours to achieve.
